Women's Investment Clubs
by Eileen Tanne
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Investment clubs have been around for years and many are
in existence today all over the world. The recent major growth
in popularity as of late are investment clubs for women.
Successful women investment clubs focus on educating investors
as well as the investments themselves. Women investment clubs
often do an excellent job of providing information to those
who are new to investments as well as to those who have experience
with them. There are often seminars held to teach the investing
basics and ease comfort with their investment decisions.
For beginning investors, the decisions can seem intimidating.
Women investment club websites provide discussion forums,
live chats and message boards that help you understand investing.
There are tips and information available for every level
of investing.
You are more than likely saving for retirement through your
401K and/or IRA. While everyone should participate in their
employer sponsored plan, this is controlled by the employer
and you will surely lose out if or when you change jobs.
You can invest any amount you want in an investment club
which makes it an attractive proposition.
Women investment clubs offer a secure setting to start your
investing journey. In a unified group, investment information
is shared and discussed. You may increase your confidence
in your ability to make investment decisions. As you learn
more you can invest more as well.
While some women investment clubs meet locally, there is
a wide variety of online groups. Online groups may not meet
in person but often provide much more information and investment
tips through the web site. If you find a local club, they
probably meet monthly and will invite speakers to speak on
various investing topics. It is a good place to make connections
ask as questions one on one.
It may take some time before you get comfortable in investing
your hard-earned money. But as you learn the ropes of investing
in your investment club you'd find it's worth your time and
effort in the long run. Find out how you could join or even
start your own women investment club.
